NeighborhoodWrap

NeighborhoodWrap is a set of SDKs designed to showcase information about the neighborhood.

NeighborhoodWrap and all of its underlying SDKs are supported for neighborhoods, cities, US postal codes, US county subdivisions, US/Canadian counties and county equivalents, and regions.

Implementation

NeighborhoodWrap SDKs may be initialized by passing either latitude and longitude coordinates or the geog_id of their desired neighborhood. Geog_id is the preferred initialization option as it gives you complete control over the exact neighborhood you wish to display in NeighborhoodWrap.

Geog_id Initialization

To understand the difference between these two approaches, imagine that you are using NeighborhoodWrap to display neighborhood information from Brooklyn, New York City. Initializing NeighborhoodWrap with the geog_id corresponding to Brooklyn guarantees that this neighborhood will be displayed in NeighborhoodWrap.

Latitude and Longitude Initialization

By contrast, if you initialize NeighborhoodWrap using latitude and longitude coordinates, then NeighborhoodWrap will display the smallest known neighborhood that encloses those coordinates. This means that if a smaller neighborhood exists between the latitude and longitude you provided and your desired neighborhood, then the smaller neighborhood will always be displayed.

Example

For example, if your latitude and longitude pair were actually located in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, then NeighborhoodWrap will always display Williamsburg, even though Brooklyn is your desired neighborhood.

This means that to ensure NeighborhoodWrap always displays the exact neighborhood you intend, you should use geog_id initialization with all NeighborhoodWrap SDKs.

Supporting API Endpoints

The following Local Logic APIs are used by the different SDKs to display data.

• Geographies is leveraged by multiple SDKs to translate a single location as a latitude & longitude into the neighborhoods supported by each of the SDKs
• Profiles is used by two of the SDKs
  • NeighborhoodHero SDK: Retrieves the name of the neighborhood and the neighborhood summary text.
  • NeighborhoodCharacteristics SDK: Retrieves the characteristics paragraphs summarizing each neighborhood’s Transportation, Services, and Character.
• POIs and Schools are used by the NeighborhoodMap SDK to retrieve the POIs and schools within and close to the neighborhood.
• Schools is used by the NeighborhoodSchools SDK to retrieve schools within and close to the neighborhood.
• Demographics is used by the NeighborhoodDemographics SDK to retrieve the demographics information within a given neighborhood.
• Scores is used by two of the SDKs
  • NeighborhoodHighlights SDK: Retrieves the scores for the neighborhood in order to calculate the highlights (top scores) of the neighborhood.
  • NeighborhoodCharacteristics SDK: Retrieves all of the available Transportation, Services, and Character related scores available for the given neighborhood.
• Value Drivers is used by the NeighborhoodPropertyValueDrivers SDK to retrieve the top drivers of property value within the neighborhood.
• Similar Neighborhoods is used by the NeighborhoodMatch SDK to retrieve the configured client-specific neighborhoods with the highest similarity to the given neighborhood.

Display a Map with the closest Points of Interest filtered by our Scores.

NeighborhoodCharacteristics display a high-level summary of the characteristics of any target neighborhood.

NeighborhoodSchools display a table of schools based on their proximity to the location.

A quick and easy way to display powerful demographics insights, increase user engagement, and improve overall website performance.

Display neighborhood characteristics that drive home prices for a target neighborhood.

📄️ NeighborhoodMarketTrends

NeighborhoodMarketTrends helps Homeseekers understand recent market activity in their target neighborhood and how that activity may be reflected in the home prices of that neighborhood.

📄️ NeighborhoodMatch

NeighborhoodMatch returns a set of nearby neighborhoods most similar to the current neighborhood in terms of qualities like Local Logic lifestyle scores, demographics, and housing composition.
